Personal Fall Arrest System Inspection

Visual Personal Fall Arrest System Inspection: Inspection of Full Body Harnesses, Shock Absorbing Web Lanyards, Temporary Anchorage Connectors Straps and Self-Retracting Web Lanyards. Inspections are per the following standards:
- OSHA 1926.502
- ANSI Z359.1
- A10.14
- MIOSHA Part 45
When you submit your fall arrest systems for inspection by NIS, you can expect the following process:
- Physical characteristics (description, location, users name, department and serial number) of Fall Arrest System are recorded on an inspection report.
- All components and hardware of the Fall Arrest Systems are visually inspected for wear, cuts, nicks, burns and tears.
- Each Fall Arrest System that passes inspection will be tagged with a color coded inspection tag, demonstrating that it has been checked.
- Fall Arrest Systems which do not pass inspection will be tagged with a caution tag and removed from service.
- Lastly, a computer generated report will be provided on a spreadsheet with a certificate governing regulatory standards for all passing items.
