About National Industrial Supply Company (NIS)

National Industrial Supply Company (NIS) was established in 1981 as a distributor and repair center for chain slings, wire rope slings, nylon slings and complementary hardware.  In the early 1990s NIS became a member of the Michigan Minority Business Development council.

Since then NIS has proven itself as a leader in the Michigan minority business industry by building and maintaining lasting business relationships with such industry leaders as DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and many other reputable companies.

Today, NIS provides a wide range of services including conducting in-plant seminars on over-head lifting, inspecting chain, wire rope and nylon slings, certifying alloy chain slings, lifting devices and End Effectors.  NIS also helps customers keep up to date with OSHA requirements.
